公司和个人品牌管理浅谈
刚才在第一财经的《头脑风暴》里面听到主持人说每个人都是品牌。触发了我对品牌管理方面的一些思考，总结整理如下。
1、品牌管理是软性学科，不是工程技术科学。虽然有些量化方法，但在消费者心目中的感觉更重要。
举个例子，虽然google中国始终不承认“谷歌”命名是失败的，但事实上他们的确已经是输家，虽然我不知道google中国的市场占有率节节败退和这个取名行动是否有关，但起码从noguge事件可以明显看出来。google中国在定这个名字只考虑到要好传播，要取一个中文名，选择一个拼音guge，没有顾及到品牌的美誉度问题。因为品牌管理的核心是管理消费者心中印象的软性科学，而不是工程科学。李开复说他不希望将来总裁来中国颁奖不希望被叫成狗狗公司，我倒是觉得叫狗狗公司没有一点不好，从传播来说非常好记，从容易引起积极的联想来说，大家会觉得非常可爱，而且不拘一格，非常符合google公司特立独行的风格特点。当然现在谷歌之父王怀南、负责市场营销的总裁周韶宁已经陆续离开，谷歌之名将来是否会得到坚持还是他们能顺应民意做出改变不得而知。如果google中国是一家执行力很强的公司，他们应该面对现实了解谷歌在多数消费者行动中能产生一个什么样的联想，进而采取行动。
2、过度的曝光可能会毁了一个品牌。
我一直在思考的一个问题就是，我们上大学的时间微软给人的是非常积极的品牌形象，大家都认为到微软工作是进入天堂的感觉。为什么在现在我们，尤其是博客圈会觉得微软非常傲慢，落伍，保守，贪婪，很不喜欢微软。而google则一边倒地万千宠爱于一身。大家觉得他很公正，客观，为大家免费提供了很多很好的服务，他们不作恶。
当然，现在值得google警惕的事情是，现在媒体已经出现了以报道google负面消息为乐的趋势。比如“Firefox程序员声称google在重蹈微软老路”，大意是google一步步变得向微软一样傲慢。
台湾政坛爆料大王，国民党籍立委邱毅曾经说，媒体对资讯的渴求程度非常高，倒扁行动要想成功，必须不断吸引媒体的关注，所以他要不断地爆料。当然这也伤害到他自己，绿营媒体记者就拍到他在宾馆私会女性的画面大作文章。
UT Starcom及其老总吴鹰曾经风光无限，但随着小灵通业务进入衰退期，媒体陆续出现了许多负面的报道；陈天桥及其领导的盛大曾经是媒体宠儿，但自从媒体陆续出现网游对青少年报道的连续出现，以及盒子计划转型的失败，相信盛大面临媒体方面的压力会非常大。
高燃，曾经的80后创业的代表人物，备受媒体追捧，但自从其被vc撤换以后，负面的消息陆续出现。
我想媒体从他们自身角度出发,他们追求的是轰动效应,不管是正面还是负面的,只要是能轰动的,他们就会非常乐于报道。在公司发展早期，多是利好的消息。但如果处理不好当，当利好出尽之日，也就是利空消息出来之时。所以对媒体曝光程度本身的把握是一个需要考虑的问题。
3、品牌名称混淆要不得。
一个反面的例子就是微软的msn 和 live，两个名牌名称，对消费者而言容易产生混淆。对长期发展是不好的。不管微软做多少大动作，大家潜意识中还是会认为，微软是一个软件公司而不是一个互联网公司。msn和live只是他们的两个网站而已。
极索（gsuo）改名为ddmap，我个人认为是高明之举。在数月以前我们几个同事在讨论的时候，我开玩笑说gary如果聪明的话应该把域名直接改为丁丁地图，因为丁丁地图不但非常好记，市场认知度也高，gsuo相对而言太技术化了，不利于记忆和传播。更名以后就不会有gsuo和丁丁地图两个品牌，统一到一个品牌下面对长期的传播是非常有利的。
4、个人品牌管理
我们每个都是一个品牌，我们需要事先考虑清楚，我希望给我的目标客户（我的朋友、同事、客户、合作伙伴）呈现的是一个什么样的品牌形象。乐观的，积极的，富有激情的，坦诚的还是悲观消极，缺乏激情的，谎话连篇的。知名度固然重要，但美誉度更加重要。一旦你在目标客户的心目中品牌形象定型，想要改变可就非常困难了。你希望别人一提起你的时候是一个积极的联想还是一个负面的联想？一旦我们明确了自己的品牌形象，我们每天的行动就是要不断去强化这方面的形象。
在我刚出校门那几年，和别人交流的时候我很乐意和别人提起我的两位校友前辈，周鸿yi和方兴东。一方面我个人一直关注也一直在做软件、互联网，对他们也比较崇拜，我不是追星族，但有一次方到交大做演讲，我还买了他的《起来挑战微软霸权》并让他签了名。但现在他们给我的感觉稍微有些不一样了，我看到了太多恶俗的媒体炒作，看到了所谓互联网利益集团之间江湖恩怨和恶斗，我宁愿他们不是通过不同翻新方式的媒体炒作在创造和维持公司以及个人品牌，而是像马化腾、丁磊、李彦宏那样通过他们公司的产品、服务深刻影响社会大众。以这种方式来建立和维持和个人品牌。
倒扁领袖施明德为我们树立了一个良好的个人品牌的典型。台湾为什么能够在1周多时间就能吸引到百万人的每人100元的捐款。除了陈shuibian本身的贪腐问题以外，一个很重要的原因是倒扁运动的发起人是施明德。他在年轻时期为了台湾的民主入狱20多年，不屈不挠地和政府当权部门斗争。民jindang取得政权以后他又淡泊名利引退。正是他个人品牌银行的信用资产可以使得那么多人相信他，捐款捐物甚至走向街头。
自从写City8的Blog而来，我一般比较随兴，没有给自己安排每周非要写几篇，一般都是有感觉了就写。对Blog能给自己带来什么有没有太多的期望。上次到北京出差和一位未曾谋面的朋友见面聊，他说他从一开始就关注我们，从我们的博客一出来而网站还没有出来的时候就关注我们，对我们扎实做事情的态度非常欣赏，这让我非常感动。也有其他不少朋友第一次见面聊得时候就觉得是老朋友，因为都在看我们的博客，对我们的背景，我们的办事风格和所思所想都有比较深入的了解。所以想建立个人品牌的朋友，博客确实是一种种非常好的方式。

很欣赏你提到的一些关于做人做事的看法，我相信，踏实勤奋，坚强独立，不卑不亢的人，终能成事
人要免俗戒躁是很难的一件事情，尤其在这么一个充满各种诱惑与骚动的中国…..所以很多人，原本可能还有些底气与操守，却在做事的过程中却最终难免被酱缸染黑….
希望师兄坚持自己的路走下去，做出有价值的事情，为交大楷模……
